Rochelle Healy
Programme Facilitator
My name is Rochelle Healy and I am a programme facilitator in RehabCare in Bray. When I first started working for RehabCare, I was a programme facilitator in a High-Support day service and have since changed my role to Mild-Moderate Support within the same day service.
I love what I do, every single day I have the opportunity to make a real, positive difference in people’s lives. The fact that I have the chance to know I can support someone to feel heard, valued and empowered is what helps motivate me so much in my everyday work.
The main part about working in RehabCare is that you get to see people as individuals who each have their own unique story and help them to create a better future for themselves.
My prior role working in High-Support has been one of the most rewarding and meaningful experiences of my career. It completely deepened my sense of empathy, patience and respect for others – consistently reminding me of the power of human connection and the impact that kindness and understanding can have on others. My current role working with Mild-Moderate Support has involved a lot of community and workforce based support – working daily with individuals to empower them with the skills they need to get a job or further their education/training. I have worked closely with individuals, making sure that each and every one of them see their own potential and know that they can get out into society and have meaningful social roles within their community.
The opportunity to be a part of a team that truly cares and works together to make a difference is another huge aspect of my job that makes it as enjoyable and fulfilling as it is. The staff team in Bray have such an amazing sense of shared values and a collective drive to improve the lives of all individuals within the centre and that is something that makes me feel proud to be a part of the team every single day.
