Permanent Part-Time (26 Hours) Contract
About the Role:
Reporting to the Community Service Manager through the Programmes Supervisor, the post holder will act as both an Art Tutor and a Programmes Facilitator. The primary focus of this role is to deliver high-quality art programmes while also facilitating broader person-centred activities for service users.
The post holder will support service users in making choices, developing skills, and achieving personal goals within a person-centred model of service delivery. This includes running programmes where necessary, supporting individual and group outings, assisting with daily living skills, and providing medication support when required.
The role also involves engaging in both internal and external meetings, acting as a key worker for service users with diverse interests, and contributing to the planning and delivery of occupational, leisure, and personal development activities. The aim is to enhance quality of life, independence, and engagement across all aspects of the service.
What we’re looking for:
Minimum QQI Level 5 in Social Care or equivalent
A third level graduate, Health & Social Care or equivalent is desirable.
Experience supporting adults with an intellectual disability and people enduring mental health issues
Willingness to attend conferences / training courses when necessary
1 year minimum experience of working in a relevant Setting with the experience of facilitating and implementing person centred plans, experience in the design, development and provision of programmes and activities to meet the needs, choices and abilities of service users including providing support in the area of independent living skills and community integration for persons with intellectual disability.
Your Responsibilities
- To be a key worker to service users in order to facilitate the Person Centred Planning process. To identify goals and supports required by individual service users and maintain records as required.
- To develop and deliver person centred programmes to meet the needs of service users as identified through Person Centred Planning and to maintain the required records.
- To support individuals and groups in accessing their community to meet identified needs by facilitating activities and programmes and any other reasonable duties as deemed appropriate by the Programmes Supervisor / Community Services Manager.

Salary starting from point 1 € 15.24 per hour to point 5 € 16.03 per hour, is subject to negotiation depending on experience and qualification.
