Bus Driver

Permanent Contract, Part-time 15 hours per week

Monday to Friday (split hours morning and afternoon shifts)

Location NLN Cork locations – Bantry

County Cork

Job Purpose

To transport clients as required in a responsible and safe manner maintaining the highest standard of driving, in accordance with a National Driving School and the Department of Environment competency examination.

What we’re looking for:

Qualifications

• Category Irish D1 Full Clean Driving licence.
• Current valid Drivers CPC Card.

Experience

• Disability awareness and experience of transporting passengers with limited mobility or who use wheelchairs is desirable.
• Relevant Occupational experience.
• A minimum of 2 years relevant driving experience.

Key Skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills are essential.

Your Responsibilities

        Passenger Safety & Compliance* – Ensure all passengers are safely seated, using seat belts and clamps, while strictly following road safety regulations.

        Vehicle Maintenance* – Keep the vehicle in a safe, roadworthy, clean and hygienic condition at all times.

        Assisting Passengers* – Support clients when boarding and exiting the vehicle using appropriate lifting techniques.

        Effective Communication* – Interact respectfully with clients, ensuring a positive and supportive experience.

        Service Quality & Improvement* – Participate in training and contribute to a high-quality, continuously improving service for clients.

Salary starting from point 1 €30895.21 per annum (pro-rata)
