Senior Financial Accountant

Job Purpose

The Finance Transformation Senior Accountant will support both the Finance Transformation Project and business as usual activities. This position will report directly to the Care Financial Controller and will support in the management, co-ordination and delivery of an efficient and effective Finance Function. This position will be a key member of the Finance Transformation Project Team in delivering Budgeting System and Purchase to Pay System.

 

What we’re looking for:

*       A NFQ8 qualification or an equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.

*       Qualified Member of relevant accountancy body with PQE.

*       Minimum 5 years’ finance experience post professional qualification.

*       Working to tight deadlines in large complex accounting function—essential function whilst maintaining high quality of work—essential

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and implement comprehensive budgeting system and Purchase to Pay System as a key member of the Finance Transformation Project Team to better enable the finance functions delivery of the organisation’s strategy and respond to external stakeholders. Responsibility to Plan, Execute, Monitor and Close the finance transformation project.
  • Scope and schedule the key elements of the finance transformation project including managing costs during the project cycle to ensure they are kept within budget.
  • Streamline budget allocation and expenditure tracking processes to create efficiencies.
  • Enhance financial planning and decision-making processes by designing reports / dashboards that offer strategic perspective on operational performance.
  • Improve the collection, integration and presentation of budgeting and forecasting financial data to support variance analysis, reporting and corrective action.
  • Produce accurate, effective and timely monthly management accounts in line with FRS 102 SORP.
