Park House (Day Service)

Stillorgan, Co Dublin

Permanent Full-Time (39 Hours) Contract

 

About the Role: 

 

Reporting to the Community Service Manager through the Programme Supervisor, the post holder will work in an individualised high support day service for people with complex intellectual, physical and communication challenges.  The post holder will be expected to demonstrate lots of initiative around supporting a person to have a fun and meaningful day through a New Directions led day service provision.   A strong commitment to support individuals to enhance their overall quality of life and socially valued roles and experiences is paramount.

 

What we’re looking for: 

 

  • Minimum QQI Level 5 in Healthcare, Social Care or equivalent
  • A third level graduate, Health & Social Care or equivalent is desirable
  • Experience supporting adults with an intellectual disability and associated complex physical/sensory needs.
  • Programme facilitation skills desirable.  Client handling experience an advantage

 

Your Responsibilities 

 

  • To support people in the Person Centred Planning process; to have an up to date Support Plan and Person Centred Plan and have regular keyworker support. To have regular PCP reviews with the person’s chosen circle of support
  • To support individuals to have fun and meaningful experiences within day service provision, through serviced based or community preferences.
  • To support individuals with their personal appearance and personal care needs and any dietary requirements.  This may include meal time support and assistance with personal care.

 

Closing Date: Monday 28th April 2025 

 

Salary starting from point 1 € 15.24 per hour to point 5 € 16.03 per hour, is subject to negotiation depending on experience and qualification.
