Resource Teacher

Fixed Term Contract (12 Hours) Contract (12 Months)

Job Purpose

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team the Resource Teacher is responsible for meeting the needs of Service Users in the area of remedial and compensatory education e.g. literacy and numeracy. The role also includes the delivery of basic computer training as required.

 

What we’re looking for:

*       Teaching degree, H Dip or equivalent

*       Qualification recognized by Department of Education, registration with the teaching council.

*       Experience in delivering literacy and/or numeracy training

*       Experience working with people with disabilities

 

Your Responsibilities

*       Meeting the educational needs of each service user through the provision of basic remedial and compensatory education in accordance with their identified individual needs.

*       Participating as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the identification of service user needs and the planning of individually focused rehabilitation programmes.

*       Carrying out the work of teaching and the general work of training under the guidance of the Manager, providing support for individuals in line with their Individual Action Plan.

 

Closing Date: Sunday 02rd March 2025-

 

Salary starting from point 1 € 35,649.97 to point 5 € 42704.31 (pro rata), is subject to negotiation depending on experience and qualification.
