Job Title:
Tax, Treasury & Capital Expenditure Controller
Permanent, 39 hours.
Location:
Rehab Group - 10D Beckett Way, Parkwest - Dublin, DB IE (Hybrid)
Job Purpose:
To lead the finance function of Rehab Group within the area of Tax, Governance, Treasury and Capital Expenditure to ensure the co-ordination, delivery and management of an efficient and effective Finance Function. The role holder will drive the Group’s Tax Compliance, Financial Governance, Treasury Function and Capital Expenditure process.
Minimum Education & Experience required:
- Qualified Chartered Tax Advisor or Accountant with Tax Qualification: CTA; or ACA (NFQ9); or ACCA (NFQ9); or CIMA (NFQ8)
- At least 5 years PQE in taxation / 5 years PQE in accounting experience
- Understanding and experience of the Not-for-Profit sector (desirable).
- Requires a conceptual understanding of their specialism typically gained through advanced training and extensive experience or a full professional qualification combined with significant practical experience.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Advise and implement tax strategy for the Group to ensure compliance with all legal and statutory requirements, in line with best practice and the Group’s Strategic Plan. Full responsibility for the accurate and timely submission of all tax filings to Revenue, to include PAYE, VAT and Corporation Tax emphasizing key insights and recommendations.
- Implement best practices to improve the overall tax and finance governance for Rehab Group, to include addressing outstanding internal and external audit management letter points, developing, reviewing and implementing Group Tax and Finance policies and procedures. Continuously evaluating and enhancing processes for efficiency and effectiveness, in order to maintain internal controls to a high standard and introduce new improved controls where necessary.
- Manage and develop the banking and treasury function for Rehab Group, focusing on improving and maintaining existing controls and ensuring compliance with same. Ongoing monitoring of available cash flow to ensure sufficient funds in place for both operational and capital projects.
- Develop and maintain a robust end to end capital expenditure process for Rehab Group to ensure all Group departments follow and adhere to the process to effectively manage all capital expenditure projects undertaken.
Additional requirements
This role requires the job holder to:
- Be comfortable at achieving targets and implementing strategy
- Travel within Ireland
- As part of our recruitment process, if applicable, candidates will be required to provide a Police certificate from the countries they have resided prior coming to Ireland.
