Care Worker – Ref-15129
Fixed Term Full Time Contract, 39 hours per week (1 Year)
Starting remuneration will be €32,892.51 (gross) per annum
Location: Millbank Lodge, Greystones
About the Role:
To facilitate a service user focused service to adults with Prader Willi Syndrome in a well established residential service on a relief basis.
To support the manager and team leaders of a dynamic team to provide a high quality and person centered service for all who attend. Residents are supported to enjoy new experiences and work on their independent living skills in a safe and nurturing environment.
What We’re Looking For:
* Third level graduate, Health & Social care or equivalent is desirable. Minimum requirement of Fetac level 5 in social care or related discipline.
* Previous experience of working with people with a disability is desirable. An understanding of current regulations and safeguarding adults is required.
* Good communication skills and the ability to self-direct are also essential.
* A full clean driving license would be a distinct advantage.

Your Responsibilities:
* Promote and actively involved in teamwork, creating a nurturing and supportive environment for the service user.
* Facilitate and implement a person centered service appropriate to the needs, wishes and requirements of service users.
* Provide personal assistance in all aspects of personal care and manual handling, ensuring comfort and hygiene of service users and adhering to safe practice at all times.
Additional Requirements:
* A full, clean driving licence, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience is desirable.
If applicable, candidates will need to provide a police certificate for any country they've lived in before moving to Ireland
