Community Service Manager

Job Purpose

To improve the quality of provision and evidence accordingly. To transfer knowledge from current regulation to that of an Outreach Service. To advise managers on the implementation of the Easi Tool, to share knowledge and learning according to the needs of the specific service.

Responsible for the operational management and ongoing development of day services supporting adults with intellectual, physical and sensory disabilities and ASD. The Community Service Manager (CSM) is responsible for the management and development of day resource and outreach. The CSM supports and manages the Team Leaders and Community Support Workers. The Outreach services are committed to supported self-directed living (based on Social Role Valorisation Theory), a person-centred approach and in line with New Directions HSE Policy.

This CSM position will oversee an Individualized Outreach Service for a young person. The CSM will supervise a small team of Community Support Workers and Team Leader. The Individual Outreach service will also be supported by a Behavioral Therapist. The CSM will report to the Regional Manager.

 

What we’re looking for:

*         A third level qualification in health and social care is essential with or working towards a management element.

*         A minimum of 3 years’ experience in management or supervisory role in the area of health or social care.

*         Ability to manage complex and challenging services for persons with an intellectual disability and/or a dual diagnosis and behaviours that challenge

*         Ability to work to tight deadlines and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

 

Your Responsibilities

To line manage plan, develop, implement, and manage appropriate personal development, health, educational, recreational, and occupational programmes within the Resource Centre, in consultation with clients and the Staff team, and as directed, advised, and guided by senior management.

To plan and develop any other service development proposals as appropriate within the area as directed, for example, home support, respite care and being proactive in the development of new and innovative initiative / activities / and programmes for and in consultation with the service users.

 

Closing Date: Tuesday, 2nd September 2025

 

Salary starting from point 1 €53,579.06 to point 5 €57,309.06 Pro Rata and is subject to negotiation depending on experience and qualification.
