Job Title: Energy and Sustainability Officer
Permanent Contract, 39 hours per week
Location: 10D Beckett Way, Park West Business Park, Dublin 12
(Hybrid working available)
About the Role:
The Energy and Sustainability Officer (ESO) will support the Rehab Group to capitalise on opportunities to deliver on its energy and sustainability strategy and targets. The post holder will oversee the Rehab Group’s energy performance programme, implement an annual energy and sustainability plan, support functions and services to comply with legal and regulatory obligations and report on the organisation’s energy performance.
The Energy and Sustainability Officer will support the Rehab Group’s Green Teams to implement climate action initiatives, influence and drive the energy performance programme, monitor and report on results, both internally and externally.
The post holder will monitor and report on the Rehab Group’s energy usage to the SEAI and support the organisation to address any gaps in target. The post holder will strengthen the Rehab Group’s energy and sustainability policy, publish an annual climate action roadmap, report on results and actions achieved and publish a quarterly newsletters to an audience of staff, students and service users.

What We’re Looking For:
* Third level Degree or Qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent qualification.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in energy and sustainability with a track record of delivering energy projects in a complex environment.
* Experience working with property department or property organisation – desirable
* Experience in project/change management
Your Responsibilities:
* Lead the development and execution of the Rehab Group sustainability strategy.
* Support the development of core energy and sustainability awareness training for all staff, service users and students.
* Influence staff and services to integrate energy reduction and sustainability strategies into day-to-day operations. Educate employees and the people who use our services on energy and sustainability related topics.
* Identify, recommend, and manage improvement initiatives for the business based on gap analysis, opportunities and external sustainability benchmarking. Liaise with the office of Environmental Sustainability in managing grant applications driving sustainability projects, initiatives and activities across the business, acting as the single contact for all things sustainability while working closely with local and regional leads and program champions.
* Develop and prepare a suite of performance reports and metrics for the group’s executive leadership team.
If applicable, candidates will need to provide a police certificate for any country they've lived in before moving to Ireland
