Home Support Co-Ordinator – Ref: 9029
Permanent Part time – 25 Hours per week
Breaffy Road, Castlebar,Co Mayo
Job Purpose
To organise home-based and campus based care delivered to clients and manage the performance of the Personal Assistant and Home Support Worker teams delivering that care, ensuring that high standards of care are maintained at all times.
What we’re looking for:
- A third-level qualification or equivalent (QQI) (health and social care)
- Minimum QQI Level 5 Care Skills and Care of the Older Person
- Supervisory Management Level 6 with 3 Years Management Experience
- Full Clean Driving Licence
- Experience of working with individuals with Physical and Sensory Disability.
- Experience of home-based service delivery.
Your Responsibilities
- Support the service manager with ‘team’ workforce planning activities to include the sourcing, recruitment and induction of Team Leader and Home Support Workers (HSW) to the service, in accordance with RehabCare policy and procedure in order to respond effectively to the needs of home based service users in creating and maintaining a safe, caring and stable environment for all those in our care
- Manage ‘team’ workforce development activities to include the provision/arrangement of training for PAs and HSWs as appropriate, the provision of supervision for PAs and HSW’s in accordance with RehabCare policy.
- Supervise the performance of PAs and HSWs based on direct observation, to include taking immediate action on behaviour, either observed or reported, that has a negative impact on a client, according to due process; and receiving feedback from HSWs on issues discussed at team meetings, ensuring HSWs understand relevant information provided by Carelink in order to align individual and team goals to organisational objectives and drive high performance and employee retention with ongoing feedback.
Salary starting from point 1 €36,498.44 to point 5 €38,550.15 (pro rata), is subject to negotiation depending on experience and qualification
