Job Title: Information Technology Training Instructor
Permanent Contract, 36 hours per week
Location: Cork Business & Technology Park, Model Farm Road, Cork
About the Role:
The vocational trainer (VT) information technology (IT) Instructor will be responsible for the planning, delivery, and assessment of IT modules to adult learners, including those with additional support needs. This role supports learners in gaining digital literacy, progressing toward CETB QQI level 5 accreditation , and building confidence to transition to further education, training, or employment. The VT Instructor is responsible for the training and development of Learners in accordance with the agreed local training programme specification, together with the day-to-day running and maintenance of all aspects of the training programme. The Instructor assists Learners with additional support needs in exploring their future career and educational direction and in making realistic vocational choices with a view to progressing to higher level further education or employment.

What We’re Looking For:
* Third level qualification in any area such as IT, employment, business, education, training, social care, retail, logistics etc.
* Recognised IT qualification, such as QQI level 6 or above in I.T, computer literacy or similar. Advanced ICDL/ECDL certification.
* Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) or equivalent certifications
* A relevant teaching qualification - Train the Trainer QQI Level 6 as a minimum
* Minimum of 2 years relevant occupational experience teaching IT in adult education, community training, or similar settings.
* 2 years’ or more relevant occupational experience of working with learners in educational, guidance and/or developmental contexts.
* Experience in delivery of QQI level 4 or above certifications.
Your Responsibilities:
* Provide systematic training according to specified curricula, with responsibility for the instruction of a number of modules for QQI Levels 4 certification
* Deliver engaging and accessible IT instruction across a range of modules (e.g., Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Online Communication, File Management). Facilitate participants in developing the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to secure progression outcomes
* Meet key performance indicators in relation to learner placement and progression and achievement of certification targets
* As part of a team liaise appropriately with relevant key stakeholders in maintaining programme allocations
Additional Requirements:
* Full Driving Licence and own means of transport
If applicable, candidates will need to provide a police certificate for any country they've lived in before moving to Ireland

Salary: Starting at € €33,263.94 per annum, salary is negotiable based on skills and qualifications
