Job Purpose
The Instructor is responsible for the training and development of Learners in accordance with the agreed local training programme specifications, together with the day-to-day running and maintenance of all aspects of the training programmes.
The Instructor assists Learners with additional support needs in exploring their future career and educational direction and in making realistic vocational choices with a view to progressing to further education/employment.
The Instructor will be responsible for all aspects of module delivery, co-ordination and facilitation in respect of the Programme.
The Instructor should be able to demonstrate initiative and competencies which enable them to carry out duties with innovation, flair, imagination. Excellent communication & IT skills, as well as team-working skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of individual training plans; day to day training requirements in accordance with the NLN the training programme specification.
What we’re looking for:
* Third level qualification, preferably within the Education/Training sector
* A relevant pedagogical/training qualification - Train the Trainer QQI Level 6 as a minimum
* Proficient IT skills – IT certification preferable
* A number of years relevant occupational experience of working with learners in educational, guidance and/or developmental contexts
* Experience in working in a mental health related area is an advantage
* Experience in delivering QQI certification and accreditation processes
* Excellent facilitation and presentation skills together with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills Experience in working on own initiative with a professional and confident approach An ability to motivate learners and to maintain networks with stakeholders and local communities
Your Responsibilities
* Deliver and Assess Training – Assist in coordinating, delivering, and assessing QQI modules while maintaining records for internal and external quality standards.
* Mentor Learners – Support learners in selecting timetables, developing positive work attitudes, and providing constructive feedback on progress.
* Develop Learning Resources – Create appropriate materials for accredited modules to support effective learning.
* Report on Learner Progress – Communicate with the Centre Manager regarding programme delivery, learner attendance, progress, and any concerns related to health, welfare, or education.
* Collaboration & Continuous Improvement – Work with centre staff, multi-disciplinary teams, and external stakeholders while actively contributing to quality enhancement initiatives.

Salary starting from point 1 €33263.94 (pro-rata) equivalent to €17.77 per hour, is subject to negotiation depending on experience and qualification.
