Learner Engagement and Pathways Officer  

 

Fixed term contract 12 months / 39 hours

 

Location flexible- Hybrid working model

 

Job Purpose

The Learner Engagement and Pathways Officer is a national role within National Learning Network (NLN) and the purpose of this role is to promote NLN through a wide range of recruitment, outreach, and engagement activities with key stakeholders, including prospective students, families, and referral partners, and to support a clear, consistent pathway from initial enquiry through to admission into our service.

 

The role requires a strong understanding of NLN programmes, learner needs, and the disability sector, and works across centres and teams to ensure recruitment activity translates into timely admissions, effective use of capacity, and a positive learner experience.

 

What we're looking for:

*        Applicants must hold a relevant primary degree.

*        Ideally a minimum of two years’ relevant experience.

*        Experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable: student recruitment, sales, marketing or PR, career guidance or learner support.

*        Excellent interpersonal, administrative skills and confidence to represent NLN externally and to lead, facilitate, and negotiate where required.

*        The ability to continuously learn and engage with the evolving digital landscape for communicating with prospective students and stakeholders.

*        Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of audiences.

*        An organised and reflective approach to work, with an understanding of how the role contributes to wider organisational outcomes.

*        The ability to develop and sustain effective working relationships internally and externally, delivering a positive and respectful experience for all stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

*         Support the recruitment and achievement of student numbers across NLN, including responsibility for the initial administration processes associated with student engagement, recruitment and admission. 

*        Implement of a single, streamlined national process for handling recruitment leads from initial enquiry through to centre engagement and admission, reducing duplication and inconsistency across centres. 

*        Promote, support, and help embed the use of online applications and electronic admissions processes as the default approach to student engagement, supporting the phased reduction and removal of paper-based applications. 

*        Work with data management systems such as CRM, the Student Application System, Power BI, and other relevant systems, and provide practical support to centres to encourage consistent use, adoption, and troubleshooting of digital recruitment and admissions processes. 

*        Maintain and analyse data relating to student recruitment patterns and competitor offerings, using data insights to inform improvements to recruitment activity and learner engagement. 

*        Promote NLN through external-facing outreach and engagement activities, including presentations in schools and organisations, attendance at recruitment fairs, and direct engagement with prospective students and parents or circles of support. 

 

Closing Date: April 5th March 2026

 

Salary starting from €41,975.00 subject to negotiation based on experience and qualifications.
