Instructor - PC Maintenance & IT Systems
Specific Purpose Contract, Full-time 36 hours per week

Job Purpose
The Vocational Training Instructor is responsible for the training and development of Learners in accordance with the agreed local training programme specification, together with the day-to-day running and maintenance of all aspects of the training programme. The Instructor assists Learners with additional support needs in exploring their future career and educational direction and in making realistic vocational choices with a view to progressing to higher level further education or employment.
What we’re looking for:
* Third level qualification in Information Technology or equivalent
* A relevant pedagogical/training qualification - Train the Trainer QQI Level 6 as a minimum.
ICDL/ECDL experience an advantage*
Experience with CompTIA IT Fundamentals + FC0-U61,*
CISCO IT Essentials* and occupational experience of working with learners in educational, guidance and/or developmental contexts.
Experience in delivery of I.T modules e.g. QQI, ICDL.*
* Excellent facilitation and presentation skills together with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
* An ability to motivate learners and to maintain networks with stakeholders and local communities
Your Responsibilities
* Deliver systematic training for QQI Levels 3, 4 & 5 in PC maintenance and IT systems.
* Facilitate learners’ progression by building confidence, skills, and securing certification outcomes.
* Source and support relevant work placements, promoting positive work attitudes and behaviours.
* Develop curricula and innovative interventions in collaboration with the programme team.
* Maintain learner records, track certification progress, and report in line with internal and external quality standards.
Closing Date: 2nd June 2025
Salary starting from point 1 €33263.94 (pro-rata) equivalent to €17.77 per hour, is subject to negotiation depending on experience and qualification.
